L.L. Contemporary is thrilled to announce our participation in the 9th edition of the Asia NOW art fair at the Monnaie de Paris. We will be presenting an exquisite collection of works by seven esteemed artists: Jian Liu, Hong Leng, Maleonn, Lan Zhu, Zhongming Fan, Li Lin Lee, and Shuzhong Wang.

Guided by our mission to evolve into a multicultural art gallery that celebrates diversity and fosters meaningful cultural exchanges, transcending conventional boundaries, we have meticulously curated a captivating group exhibition for Asia NOW 2023. The theme of our exhibition is “Showcasing Canada’s Multiculturalism to the World.” Within our booth, we are wholeheartedly committed to accentuating this diversity and cultivating cross-cultural understanding, providing a warm and welcoming environment for art enthusiasts from across the globe.

These seven artists encompass a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds and artistic styles. Among them, Jian Liu and Hong Leng immigrated to Canada from China over 30 years ago, both distinguished painters with roots in the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy. Notably, Leng spent six years in France before calling Canada his home. Maleonn is an iconic Chinese photographic artist representing the new generation. Lan Zhu and Zhongming Fan have both honed their skills and resided in Japan, infusing their work with unique perspectives. Li Lin Lee, a Chinese American artist, was raised in a Western-Chinese household and is deeply entrenched in traditional Western culture. Lastly, Shuzhong Wang has dedicated himself to the study of traditional Chinese painting, crafting a distinct style inspired by the art of the Song Dynasty.
